You’re Invited To The Biggest Story at River Corner Church.

Late in this upcoming January, we are stepping into something special at River Corner Church. For the next two years, our kids will be part of an intentional discipleship learning journey as part of our Kingdom Adventures (our pre-K through 6th-grade) children’s ministry. This learning journey will take them through the story of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. We’ll be using The Biggest Story curriculum from Crossway, which helps children see how every part of the Scriptures points to Jesus.

Why This Matters

As parents, we want our children to grow up knowing God’s love and learning what it looks like to follow Jesus. At River Corner Church, kids aren’t just “the future of the church”—they are part of the church right now. The Biggest Story gives them a way to hear the story of the Bible in ways that are fun, creative, and easy to understand.

It’s also super thorough.

What Sundays Look Like

Each Sunday morning, children (Pre-K through 6th grade) begin in the main gathering for our communal worship through song, and then they head downstairs for Kingdom Adventures for about 30-40 minutes. Their time includes storytelling, a short lesson, and a hands-on activity. It’s simple, engaging, and designed to help kids feel loved, safe, and excited to learn more about God.

This isn’t just about entertainment or fellowship; we want our children to play together, but also to learn from one another and together.

Building a Culture of Love

Kingdom Adventures isn’t just about learning Bible stories. It’s about creating a space where children know they belong, where kindness matters, and where they can see that following Jesus makes a difference in their everyday lives.

The Biggest Story Curriculum is a two-year journey through the Bible for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Based on Kevin DeYoung’s bestselling storybook, it offers 104 lessons that walk kids from Genesis to Revelation, showing how every story points to Jesus and God’s plan of redemption. Designed for use in Sunday school, children’s church, or even at home, the set includes colorful lesson plans, discussion questions, activities, and reproducible sheets to make teaching simple and engaging. With a beautiful six-volume format and additional digital resources, The Biggest Story makes it easy for parents, teachers, and ministry leaders to share the wonder of God’s story with the next generation.

We would love for your family to be part of this journey. Kingdom Adventures begins with The Biggest Story in late January, but your children are welcome to join us at River Corner Church any Sunday. Come as you are—you’ll find a simple, welcoming community where kids and families can grow in faith together.

I cannot say it enough: you’re invited to The Biggest Story at River Corner Church. I help oversee our Kingdom Adventures time, so if you have questions, please reach out!
